Our Story
Established in 2019 in Portland, OR, Roamer Roasters offers small batch single origin specialty coffees & blends. Roamer Roasters brings it’s coffees to its customers at Farmers Markets, Direct wholesale to consumer, eCommerce & pop-up events. Now in it’s fifth year Roamer Roasters looks forward focusing on growing it’s market spread and collaborating more into direct trade and small batch coffees, blends & seasonal brews to offer unique flavors.
The Story of Roamer Roasters started with our founder, Eric Schneiders’ New Year’s resolution in 2014 to learn about coffee roasting. As an coffee enthusiast, Eric wanted to experience the whole process of coffee creation. He began roasting his own coffee on a stove top in 2014. In 2016 Eric participated in his first Roasting competition. Through a strong desire to learn and expand his knowledge, Eric continued researching, experimenting & competing with different coffees and roasters. From all of this was born Roamer Roasters. In 2019 while completing an apprenticeship and in sponsorship into the Golden Bean North America competition with the Timelapse breakfast blend Eric won a medal at the roasters competition. Recently In the competition scene in 2023 won another medal with a single origin Kenyan coffee at Golden Bean North America competition.
Today, Roamer Roasters roasts out of the co-roasting space: Buckman Coffee Factory while continuing to grow its presence at farmers markets in new & existing spaces while continuing to offer wholesale & subscriptions. Curiosity drives the way in fostering connections to bring Roamer Roasters coffee beans & brews to where you enjoy sustainable, high quality coffee.
